Phobia Euphoria Play-kit
The Play-kit helps the readers understand emotions of phobia and euphoria. The development of the project is explained in a book that provides a step-by-step expeirience of getting acquinted with disgust as an emotion and as a visual and tactile sensation. The reader visually adapts to disgust by assigning repulsive patterns to everyday objects, and becomes close tactilely by touching or fidgeting with the kit. The exercise is a warm-up for understanding the emtions that mediate phobia and euphoria, helping to understand more profoundly these paradoxical yet ambivalent emotions.
Form Study
We archived hateful situations around us for the formative study. After that, these archived images were analyzed to construct sculptures suitable for each characteristic, and based on this, it was classified into four keywords: Trypophobia, Swarming Blisters, Tentacles and Layers. These four keywords were the formative elements that would be dissolved in the next design step.
