Firstly, my ideas are based on the dark and small spaces that bring me the sense of depression, which is enclosed spaces on the Cramond Island. Secondly, since my mother also suffers from a little claustrophobia, I still want to make some efforts to relieve the psychological problems of claustrophobia patients.
In order to having the further understanding and development, I intend to know about more phobias, the features of phobias, the symptoms and solutions of phobias, etc. Then, I will conclude the same features to analyze how to do next steps.
After the mid-semester review, I decided that claustrophobia should be analyzed and researched in order to better express claustrophobia. Investigate how phobias exist, why they exist, and what negative effects it can have on people with phobias. So I made a list of 25 phobias and intend to do data analysis on them, investigate their incidence, and do further data research and visual representations of cases from them, I think this will facilitate my project ---- The development of claustrophobia.
Why do phobias exist?
1. Parenting Style
Although recent research has looked at social phobias, both types of phobias are related to parenting styles during psychological growth. For example, excessively strict and dogmatic education will make people’s psychological growth process monotonous, making their social understanding and adaptability relatively low, making it difficult to make correct judgments on objective things; An excessively rough or oppressive environment will also distort a person's normal psychological development and make misjudgments or misjudgments about external things.
2. Genetic and Personality Factors
The disease is related to a person's personality traits. For example, people who are timid and shy before the age of 3 are often more prone to social interaction phobia in adulthood. The role of genetic factors in phobias has also received increasing attention.
3. Biological Factors
It has been theorized that patients with phobias may have the possibility of hypersensitivity of postsynaptic 5-HT receptors.
What is the cause of phobia?
